GIS Partner Event

We look back on an unforgettable event where we hosted our worldwide sales partners. In addition to the traditional meeting and a company tour, there was also an excursion to the Rigi during the 2-day event. Furthermore, the professional alpinist Stephan Siegrist gave exciting insights into his spectacular expeditions.

As part of the company's 66th anniversary, we were pleased to welcome our worldwide sales partners to a 2-day event in Switzerland.

The event started on the morning of September 8 with a company tour at the GIS headquarters in Schötz. The focus was on the crane assembly hall opened in 2019 and the recent expansion of the production building. The participants were amazed by the development and modernization of the production facility in recent years.

The international guests spent the afternoon at the Mangerie in Egolzwil, where strategy and news were discussed. A skills competition provided a lively atmosphere and a lot of fun for those present.

The dinner took place in the event hall of the Sursee campus. This was a good opportunity to present the modern GIS rigging system of the multifunctional hall (see application report) to our partners. Highlights of the evening, besides the excellent dinner, were the honoring of the long-time GIS country distributors and the presentation of the professional mountaineer Stephan Siegrist. His story about the ascent of Cerro Kishtwar (6'155 m above sea level) in the region of Kashmir left the audience in awe. The award ceremony of the afternoon skills competition was an atmospheric conclusion of the program.

The second day took the GIS travel group in bright sunshine and summer temperatures in a nostalgic train carriage to the Queen of the Mountains, the Rigi. Unlike the previous evening's presentation, there was no need to bivouac on the rock face or feed on dry food. Instead, after reaching the summit, the participants enjoyed lunch accompanied by Swiss accordion music before taking the train down to Vitznau. There, the boat was already waiting for the return trip to Lucerne, which also marked the end of the event. We hope that the event could provide some unforgettable moments for our guests from all over the world.
